Pandemic is featured in Canada's Something Cool Magazine's list of mods that make the largest gameplay impact. We scored number 3! Thanks, Canada. I always liked you more than your club-footed fascist neighbor.

Pandemic was also featured in the Japanese Gamespark Magazine. I can't read this article. I have no idea what it says. I sure hope it's good.

I don't mind people people modding this now, by the way. I was gonna add mod support, but I can't find the time. So go mental. Just remember to not repackage the assets since some belong to others. Majority, in fact. But yeah, open the mod, make your own .esp, and publish it with Pandemic as a requirement. See what you can do. Be sure to read the permissions section for details, however.

What is Pandemic?

Obscurum Pandemic is a survival simulator, with an emphasis on combat, gameplay, character development, and fun. Sure, sure, we've all seen survival simulators made before. Hell, I invented the concept more or less with Obscurum - Unnatural Selection. So what makes Pandemic different? I'll tell you some reasons. Firstly, most survival simulators so far simply alter gameplay to suit their needs. Pandemic actally expands it. Changing all kinds of inner workings of the engine. It also changes the playstyle. At first, you're a low level character. A dreg, prey, a nobody, surviving a terrible wasteland. This is where most survival simulators end. You're always having the bad odds, and that's that. BUT, with Pandemic, it transfers the player eventually into the hunter. This is where it becomes a strategy game, as you begin to manage your army and faction. As you fight in wars instead of mere squabbles over food scraps. Something else Pandemic does is that it makes everything new. By adding gigabytes of new content in terms of weapons, armours, creatures, characters and visual content. The wasteland is no longer the same wasteland. It's more morbid and barren, it's more strange and alien. It's more hostile and unforgiving.
