Mojave Timekeeper - Dynamic Timescale
A lightweight, fully configurable dynamic timescale mod for Fallout: New Vegas.
Description
I'm the kind of person who goes out for walks, and whenever I walk, I always feel like time passes incredibly fast. But when I'm at home, time seems to stand still. The same thing happened to me in Fallout: New Vegas. Walking through the Mojave, the day would disappear in minutes, and I'd wish it would slow down. But when I was inside a building, organizing my inventory or crafting, time would crawl, and I'd wish it would move faster. I created this mod with that in mind.
Mojave Timekeeper is a lightweight, fully configurable mod that changes the timescale dynamically based on whether you are indoors or outdoors. It uses the Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) to let you set separate values for interiors and exteriors in real time.
And without meaning to, I also accidentally fixed another problem: Fallout: New Vegas doesn't have a physical slider or bar to change the timescale in-game. My mod adds a fully functional MCM menu with sliders, so you can adjust the time flow on the fly without editing INI files or using console commands.
To think it all started with just one night and an idea, and right now I have almost control over time in the Mojave, and now all of you can also become guardians of Mojave time.
I added the option to raise or lower the speed of time when you enter combat, with the goal of feeling "how time stops when you fight." If you run a realistic-style build, this will only reinforce the feeling of stopped time.
Earlier, someone also commented about a Red Dead 2 mod that made time dynamic between travels and cities. Although I don't know exactly which mod it is, I made my version using the world cells the GECK gives you. You now have 3 zones: a social zone, where time goes somewhat faster than in interiors—personally, I feel that when I do my shopping, time flies.
Safe Zones, areas where you can calmly leave your things and that can be a little home in the desert, zones such as the 188 Trading Post or Wolfhorn Ranch; now time will pass somewhat slower—a homey time, if you want it that way.
And finally, Danger Zones, areas with many enemies such as Quarry Junction; time also passes slower, as if it anticipated the danger.
And of course, so you don't lose track of when all that happens, you now have notifications to show when you've changed zones, fully deactivatable from the MCM.
Now, guardians of time, what will you do with this tool I give you?
Y a todos los guardianes de habla hispana, estoy pronto a sacar la traducción, espero pueden esperar algo mas y disculpen haberlo hecho en ingles.
