📋 About This Mod
THIS MOD IS STILL HEAVILY WIP. SOME HAIRSTYLES ARE SIMPLY PLACEHOLDERS AND AREN'T REFLECTIVE OF WHAT THE FINISHED PRODUCT WILL BE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND DISCRETION
INTRODUCTION
Are you tired of the Ugly, outdated hair models and textures Obsidian made for New Vegas? Disappointed by the lack of hair mods? Want to make every NPC look well groomed alongside the Courier?
Mojave Styles is a new one-of-a-kind project attempting to do all that and more. Most of the Vanilla Hairs for both male and female characters have been replaced with updated models and textures courteous of Kalilies/Stealthic and their excellent KS Hairdos mod. All these new hairs have been completely ported to work inside New Vegas and since they replace the vanilla ones rather than adding new styles, all of your NPCs (vanilla AND modded) will now have them in game
FEATURES-All new high-quality hair models and textures
-Works for both the player and all NPCs (including those added by mods)
-hairs chosen to be as lore friendly and aesthetic as possible
-Unique models for the female versions of a few specific hairstyles
-EGM files included for all hairs to work alongside head morphs
-Works alongside FCO and NPCs added by mods that use vanilla hairs
CURRENT ISSUES
-Some hairs have weird transparency issues when viewed from the character creation screen. These gaps do not show up in game however
-Some hairs make your character look bald when wearing a hat or lack a hat-specific model, causing them to clip thru the characters hat. These issues will be fixed in an upcoming update
-Some meshes need to be re-adjusted slightly
-One of the female hairs has some weird blemishes on the texture. if anyone can look into this and figure out what's wrong please lemme know
CREDITS
-Kallilies and Stealthic for the Original meshes and textures

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 1,064 endorsements and 41,896 downloads.
- Brings the popular KS Hairdos collection to the Mojave, giving you way more style options.
- Simple install—just drop it in and your character creation gets a major upgrade.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020—might have compatibility issues with newer mods or game patches.
- Replaces vanilla hairstyles, so you lose the originals unless you back them up.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who want more hair options without adding a ton of new mods. If you're tired of the same old vanilla styles and want a fresh look for your Courier, this is a solid pick. Skip if you prefer keeping the original hairstyles or want a mod that adds new styles instead of replacing.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make a backup of your vanilla hairstyle files if you think you might want to revert later.
- Check if you have any other hair mods that might conflict—this replaces vanilla styles, so load order matters.
- Test in character creation first to see if the new styles fit your taste before committing to a playthrough.
