📋 About This Mod
Adds distant desert terrain and mountains based on south-western American geography. Inspired by goshko's Distant Rock LOD, I wanted something less stylized and stand-out. This mod will tastefully add background mountains to the worldspace that cover up visually uninteresting terrain, ugly landscape geometry, and under-detailed vistas, while blending well with the vanilla game. Utilizes the games imposter system so that mountains are loaded at all times, from all angles, no LOD generation required. Mountains are available in either 2K textures representing distant terrain data, or mapped to the vanilla rock textures for those who prefer that look instead.
Has been cleaned with xEdit and FNVToolkit - xEdit Script. Should be compatible with anything. Will conflict with mods that utilize out-of-bounds worldspace. I may patch these on a case-by-case basis, otherwise my permission to create patches always remains entirely open.
A patch for Nova Arizona is provided.
Install via mod manager or manual download buttons and utilize the manager of your choice. Mod Organizer 2 is recommended. Alternatively, install the files manually by dragging them into your games "Data" folder and activate with the mod manager of your choice.
