Lucky 38 Mojave View - ESPless

The Lucky 38 has always bothered me. Visible for miles, the tower should provide an unparalleled view of the region. However, when you finally reach the New Vegas Strip and take the elevator to the top, you instead get to see a weird empty landscape that doesn't even match the terrain.

Lucky 38 Mojave View changes that, thanks to the power of xLODGen. Now, from the very top of the Lucky 38, you can instead look out over the Mojave as it exists in your game. When generating LOD for the Lucky38World with Lucky 38 Mojave View installed, the Lucky 38 will use the Mojave's objects and terrain - this means it will generate using your LOD and match your game. It uses a plugin during LOD generation, but after that, the plugin can be disabled during gameplay for compatability, and scripted solutions will handle the rest!

FNV, xNVSE, JIP LN NVSE, JohnnyGuitar NVSE, Updated xLODGen (if you followed the VNV LOD Guide, you should already have this).

Installation

Use the mod manager of your choice (I recommend, use, and will support MO2). Activate the mod and move "Lucky 38 Mojave View.esp" to the bottom of your load order. Ensure nothing is overwriting the "lucky38world.dlodsettings" file. Then, use xLodGen to generate Terrain and Object LOD for the Lucky38World, following the VNV LOD Guide. After LOD generation is complete, disable and/or hide "Lucky 38 Mojave View.esp" for gameplay.

Compatibility

Lucky 38 Mojave View should be compatible with everything, including mods which add or remove items to the Lucky 38, and with weather/lighting/etc. mods. Certain LOD meshes may not look the best when viewed from above, depending on the object, but that's just the mesh. However, it's worth keeping in mind.
