Low Intelligence Dialogue Overhaul - Ain't that a kick in the head

Designed with GECK, Apps Script, and ChatGPT, this mod breathes new life into the dialogue systems of both Fallout: New Vegas ( and Fallout 3 with Tale of Two Wastelands compatibility).

This mod revamps ~20,000 lines of dialogue so that your PC sounds as dim-witted as possible. While the AI-generated dialogue may (on occasion) not always make total sense, it adds a layer of unpredictability and charm. Coming updates will hope to remove these truly nonsensical lines but it the dataset is massive so it may take some time. If its too nonsensical for your tastes, uninstallation is easy!

One of the mod's standout features is its disregard for your character's intelligence level. Whether you're playing a 1 or 10 intelligence character you'll find dialogue options that suit an idiot's persona (to revert to normal dialogue, uncheck the mod) Imagine passing high intelligence checks while sounding like a caveman! The large scale of the mod ensures a diverse and fun dialogue experience for everyone!

I have not run into any conflict with any other mod. Should be safe to install no matter the extensiveness of your mod list!

Warnings:

1) Not recommended for 1st time playthroughs.

2) With such a vast amount of dialogue, there's bound to be the occasional hiccup, quirk, and, on very rare occasions, muted dialogue that slips through the cracks.

(When that happens, I recommend pretending your PC is literally too dumb to understand and NPC are just taking a confident guess wat you mean) As such I actively encourage feedback and bug reports to continually improve the experience. For bug reports please, A) post the line of dialogue that is nonsensical, B) post a picture, or C) list the characters you have bugs with.

Minor issues can, and will, be easily addressed ASAP!

3) Goodsprings and Buying Chips is a little wonky as GPT may have translated it twice

(i started this mod by hand as a test, but quickly moved to AI and forgot to remove the Goodsprings lines i added, as a result those lines went through twice. i will fix this in coming update)

------ for example in LowIntelligence 1. 0 asking to play caravan in Goodsprings ends up being something like "want cardigan".... tried to manually make a joke then it went through GPT and made that monstrosity lol

4)  Lines translated for FO3 were the lines that were artifacts left over in FNVs dataset. As i went through everything some FO3 lines were included but, in my testing, I've noticed about half the dialogue in FO3 stays vanilla.

5) Does not include dialogue for DLCs. I am planning to add that soon though!
