JCs GECK Guide

Introduction: Ive been receiving requests for a GECK Guide and finally got around to releasing one. For a brief account of what each video tutorial contains please read the listing below. All you need is Windows Media Player in order to view each tutorial. Each tutorial was created for the sole purpose of giving the most accurate, easy to understand, and helpful instructions possible… within an appropriate time span. Keep in mind that this is one of many tutorials offered for learning how to use the GECK and that you should also hear what other developers have to say regarding these same functions.

Can we ask you sidebar questions: Uh… I really have other projects, but I suppose I could answer some questions assuming I know the answer. Just keep in mind that the only thing I can’t do is script and work meshes/textures. Outside of that… I can help with almost every other aspect of the GECK.

Tutorial 02 Covers: Altering the Landscape, working with navmeshes, working with the LOD, and creating cells.

Tutorial 03 Covers: Weather, retexturing, importing textures/meshes, scaling items, snapping things together.

Tutorial 04 Covers: Creating Map Images, Sounds, Computers, Particle Effects, Instillation/Download/Location, Doors, and Furniture.

Tutorial 05 Covers: Q/A on computers, and how to create a radio station.
