📋 About This Mod

Freeside Sign Always Visible

Overview

Freeside has a lovely neon sign with a wonderful animation. Unfortunately, due to the way that it's imposter region was set up, it is only visible when you get close to it — which, given the Strip's already-lacking skyline presence in the main worldspace, was a disappointment. This small mod makes Freeside's welcome sign visible anywhere on the game map, complementing the Strip nicely and giving a bit more life to the Vegas skyline.

Installation+Q&A

The standard fare. For non-mod manager users:

  • []Extract contents to the Data Folder, overwriting any files; then

[]Activate freesidelightsimposter.esp through the New Vegas Launcher or any other mod manager.

Q: Does this mod impact performance?

A: Having an extra imposter loaded at all times may cause a miniscule decrease in performance, but a standard PC and modern NV performance mods (NVTF etc.) will see close to no performance loss.

    Q: Compatibility?

A: This mod is fully compatible with mods that edit imposter regions thanks to hNVSE, and is also compatible with A Little More Lamplight.
