📋 About This Mod
This mod replaces the Fiends energy weapons with more conventional firearms.
I never understood how the Fiends got so many laser and plasma weapons. In Vault 3 Veronica talks about how the Fiends, despite their lack of power armor and energy weapons, are giving the NCR more trouble than the Brotherhood ever did.
Energy weapons have been replaced with: - 9mm smg - service rifle - lever-action shotgun - hunting shotgun - light machine gun - missile launcher

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 806 endorsements and 22k downloads.
- Does exactly what it says—no bloat, just swaps energy weapons for ballistic ones.
- Lightweight and unlikely to conflict with other mods that don't touch Fiend loadouts.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2013—may be incompatible with newer mods or game patches.
- Only affects Fiends; if you wanted broader raider weapon changes, this won't cover them.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who want a more grounded, post-apocalyptic feel where raiders use conventional guns instead of energy weapons. It's a niche tweak for lore purists or those who find energy weapons too common among low-level raiders. Skip if you're fine with the vanilla loadout or want more comprehensive changes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's an older mod, check if you're using any mods that alter Fiend NPCs or their inventories—load order might matter.
- If you're using a mod manager, install it like any other mod; if manual, just drop the files into your Data folder and enable it in the launcher.
- Consider using a mod like NVSE or the 4GB patcher if you're running many mods, but this one alone doesn't need them.
