📋 About This Mod

This first started out as me simply adding all the TTW weapons FormID to the projectile and mesh list and reverting some of the sounds in xEdit but then I decided to make the whole mod closer to vanilla and started cleaning out the bloat and new changes I felt didn't quite fit New Vegas.

Not knocking on Weijiesen and his team, this is a great mod and it's still one of my go-to's for every mod playthrough, even Vanilla+ runs. And it's still revolutionary! But I couldn't help myself and think some of it was a little out of place, so I resorted it back to normal and kept those beautiful weapon models and thought some people wanted what I want. Think of this as an "EVE - Lite"!

The top big things I removed was:

• Sound Effects

• Many of the Particles

• Kill Animations

• Added Projectiles

• Explosions

• Other small things conflicting with TTW

I also got rid of any scripts or "quests" running in the background to add more stability.

What's left now is really just Weapon Mesh/Textures/Mods, (some of the) Projectiles, and it's Impact Decals. The reason why I removed Energy Projectiles and Explosions was because for Projectiles; the Plasma looked almost the same as vanilla, the Lasers weren't, dare I say, realistic, and it wasn't compatible with other mods (such as Energy Visuals Plus 2. 0) but if you want it back or want something to look like Classic Fallout, use Laser Bolt FX ESPless from The Seekker. As for Explosions; too performance intensive/laggy, sometimes they would look rather strange (i.e. Frag Grenade/Mine, Dynamite, and Incendiary had blank effects), and there's plenty of alternatives that makes explosions look better (such as Special FX, HD Explosions, and eXe, which is from the same author of EVE as well). I have kept many of the custom-made Impact Decals. So, any weapon that has resorted to their original projectile (such as the Laser RCW) will match the color of the Impact Decal. These include the Red Laser Impact, Green Laser Impact, Yellow Laser Impact, Green Plasma Orb, Purple Plasma Orb, etc.

I decided to keep the ESP name the same so it can work with other mods that require this file. With that being said, I highly doubt this is compatible with WMX/WME as I don't use those two but I'm fairly certain those will add the sound effects and projectiles back. It's fairly easy to remove them again yourself in xEdit as this took me maybe a couple of hours. No GECK required. But if I have enough requests, maybe I'll take the time to edit those two.

Most Weapons remain unchanged except:

• Pew Pew (Removed Mesh, kept Texture)

• AER14 (Removed Mesh, kept Texture)

• Q-35 (Removed Mesh AND Texture)

• Laser RCW (Removed Mesh AND Texture)

• SPRTL-WOOD (Removed Texture, no Mesh)*

• The Q-35 model has been bugged since launch with the light strobes not working and I wanted that classic dark red color

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

EVE - Lite (TTW Compatible) is a small ESP edit that strips EVE's sound effects, kill animations, and explosions for smoother performance and better compatibility, while keeping the weapons, impacts, and vanilla projectiles. Ideal for players who want EVE's weapon additions without the flashy extras, especially in Tale of Two Wastelands.

✨ Key Features

Removes sound effects, kill animations, and explosions from EVE
Retains weapons, impacts, and vanilla projectiles from EVE
Compatible with Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW)
Small ESP edit for lighter load and better performance

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Performance-friendly: cuts out the heavy effects that can cause lag on older rigs
  • Keeps the good stuff: all the weapons and impacts from EVE without the over-the-top visuals
  • TTW compatible, so it works for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas in one playthrough

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated June 2025, but no changelog or version notes to know what changed
  • Only 101 endorsements despite 113k downloads — could be a niche pick or just underappreciated
🎯 Is This For You?
For Fallout modders who want EVE's weapon variety but prefer a more grounded, vanilla feel without the flashy kill cams and explosions. Also great for performance-conscious players on older systems. Skip if you love the over-the-top effects of the original EVE.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's an ESP edit, make sure to load it after the original EVE if you have it, or it might conflict.
  • If you're using TTW, double-check that your load order follows TTW's recommended setup to avoid issues.
  • Test in a save before committing — the removal of effects might change how combat feels, so see if you like it.
