📋 About This Mod
Overhauls/Rebalances how ammo-effects bypasses armor.
If you are wondering why I don't also balance "Shotgun Surgeon" and "Pircing Strike": there is no DR-reduction available for perks
In Vanilla FNV all armors use pure-DT, in TTW they use an mix of DT and DR, the DT-reduction ammo-effect is balanced around the pure DT and does nothing to the DR added by TTW, this makes such ammo stronger and at the same time worse than in vanilla.
As an example:
The Centurion Armor + Helmet have an DT of 23 in vanilla, TTW changes this to 10 DT and 41 DR.
5mm rounds reduce DT by 10 while 5mm AP round reduce DT by 25
In Vanilla: using 5mm rounds reduces the DT to 13 and the 5mm AP round completly negates it
In TTW: both completly negate it, but leave the 41 DR untouched
This mod changes the ammo-effect by halving the DT-reduction (rounded up) and adds DR-reduction at the original value (but an minimum of 5) so:
5mm rounds now have 5 DT and 10 DR reduction
5mm AP pounds have 13 DT and 25 DR reduction
resulting in:
5mm round: 5 DT and 31 DR remaining
5mm AP round: 0 DT and 16 DR remaining
so here is an quick table:
Vanilla - With Mod (Vanilla/DLC Ammo, TTW-added Ammo)
2DT - 1DT+5DR (9mm+P, . 45mm+P, .32+P, 12GaMagnum, 20GaMagnum, 12GaCoinShot, standard Energie, Robots, Microfusion Breeder, 4/0Magnum, 3/0Magnum, Alien Power Module (Zeta))
3DT - 2DT+5DR (. 357JFP)
4DT - 2DT+5DR (. 45Super, Darts)
5DT - 3DT+5DR (5. 56mm, Overcharged Energie, Nails, Optimized Ammo)
6DT - 3DT+6DR (. 44SWC, 45-47SWC, 12GaFlechette)
8DT - 4DT+8DR ()
10DT - 5DT+10DR (. 50AP, 10mmAP, Holograms, 5mm, 5mmSurplus, 5mmJunk, MaxCharge Energie, 5mmJSP)
15DT - 8DT+15DR (5. 56mmAP, 308AP, Laser Turrets, 5mmSentryBots)

CFWRs 2mmEC (If the option in CFWRs ini is set to add DT-bypass) now automaticly changes the 20DT to 10DT + 25DR (was to lazy to add an additional Ammo Effect for this one mod-added ammo type)

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tight focus on armor bypass mechanics—if you're into TTW balance, this is right up your alley.
- Nearly 10k downloads show it's got a solid user base, even if endorsements are modest.
- Espless version included, so you can keep your load order clean if that's your thing.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 28 endorsements—might be a niche pick, so don't expect a huge community behind it.
- Last updated in December 2024—could be outdated if the game or TTW has patched since then.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who run Tale of Two Wastelands and want a more balanced armor penetration system. If you're a purist who likes tweaking combat mechanics, this is a solid pick. Skip if you're not using TTW or prefer more comprehensive overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using the espless version, make sure to load it after TTW's main files to avoid conflicts.
- Test with different ammo types in-game to see how the new bypass values feel—adjust your playstyle accordingly.
- Since it's balanced for TTW, don't expect it to work perfectly in vanilla New Vegas; consider using it only with TTW.
