📋 About This Mod
This mod lets you drop/sell/store any quest item in the game. No more having to carry around all those items from failed quests, quests you don\'t care about, or bugs where the quest item is not removed! All this mod does is removes all \"quest item\" tags from every item. I got tired of having an inventory full of junk i didn\'t want, and couldn\'t find an existing mod, so here it is! I don\'t know what or if any mods conflict with this, it does not change any cells, it simply changes the base items of ALL quest items, even those that are left over from Fallout 3. I haven\'t encountered any bugs, but there may or may not be some from removing the quest tag (such as picking up an item more than once). WARNING: Some quest items DO NOT HAVE MODELS. Dropping these will result in the giant exclamation point being displayed instead of the item.
Droppable Quest Items removes the quest item flag from all quest items in the game, allowing players to drop, sell, or store them. This is useful for clearing inventory clutter from failed or unwanted quests, and for fixing bugs where quest items are not removed. With over 1,000 endorsements and 16,000 downloads, it's a popular utility mod for players who want inventory freedom.

✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 1,025 endorsements and 16,918 downloads.
- Solves a common annoyance: stuck quest items cluttering your inventory.
- Simple and effective—does exactly what it says without extra bloat.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010—may not be compatible with current game versions or DLCs.
- Removes quest item flags globally, which could potentially break quests that rely on those items being in your inventory.
For players who hate carrying around useless quest items and want to declutter their inventory. Also for those dealing with quest bugs where items aren't removed. Skip if you're playing a heavily modded setup with newer content—this old mod might cause conflicts.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod is from 2010, check if your game version is compatible before installing—older mods can cause issues with newer patches.
- If you're using a mod manager, install this mod manually by placing the file in your Data folder to avoid load order conflicts.
- Test the mod on a save where you have a known quest item to see if it works as expected before committing to a long playthrough.
