2. Mod Description
***********************************************************
If you've played the game you'll have noticed all the animals
in the wasteland are made out of plastic or something else you
This mod is simple it changes the values on the creature meat
leveled lists. There was always a 25% chance that animals would
have 0 meat. I've changed it so they ALWAYS have meat and that
puny lump of 1 meat is now greater based on the animal in
question. Bighorners should now carry at least 6 meat. Geckos
should carry at least 3 and so on.
I could have made the meat amounts a bit more random and
streamlined relative to animal size ect but that would have
required editing the creatures and many more leveled lists.
With how it's done now it should be unlikely it'll conflict
with other mods especially large scale overhaul mods.
To make use of all the extra meat i'd suggest this mod.

3. Version History
**************************************************************
- Made the plugin
Animals Have Meat is a simple gameplay mod for Fallout 3 that removes the 25% chance of animals yielding zero meat, ensuring they always drop meat and increasing the minimum amount from 1 to a higher value. It's for players tired of inconsistent loot from hunting.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- No more wasted kills – every animal gives you something to cook
- Small, focused tweak that doesn't touch anything else
- 243 endorsements show it's a trusted fix for a common annoyance
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010 – might not work with newer game versions or mods
- Only changes meat quantities, not other loot or gameplay
- No documentation on exact new meat values or compatibility
For Fallout 3 survivalists and hunters who hate getting zero meat from a kill. If you're a completionist or just want more consistent loot, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you want deeper gameplay changes – this is purely a loot tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a simple plugin, just drop the .esp into your Data folder and enable it in your mod manager.
- If you use other loot overhaul mods, load this one after them to ensure its changes take priority.
- Check the mod's compatibility with Fallout 3's Game of the Year Edition – old mods sometimes need a quick edit in FNVEdit.
