📋 About This Mod
Provides La Longue Carabine as a reward for letting First Recon get a shot at Nephi. I might expand this to require completing Restoring Hope as well, if you guys think that makes more sense.
A compact quest mod for Fallout: New Vegas that adds La Longue Carabine as a reward for letting First Recon take a shot at Nephi. With 69 endorsements and over 47,000 downloads, it's a niche addition for players seeking an alternative reward path.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 69 endorsements and 47,000+ downloads—clearly a popular pick.
- Gives you a reason to let First Recon handle Nephi instead of doing it yourself.
- Tiny mod, no bloat—just a simple reward tweak.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in February 2023—might not be compatible with the latest game patches.
- Only affects one quest outcome—if you already killed Nephi yourself, you miss out.
For Fallout: New Vegas players who want a little extra incentive to let First Recon shine. If you're a completionist or enjoy alternate quest rewards, this is a neat addition. Skip if you're looking for major quest overhauls—this is a tiny tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to let First Recon get the shot during the quest 'Boulder City Showdown' to trigger the reward.
- If you're using a mod manager, just drop the file in and activate—no load order fuss.
- Check if you have any other mods that alter the same quest to avoid conflicts.
