30mm Vladimir Cannon

WHAT IT DOES

It adds a unique, scoped, single-shot, breech-loaded 30mm/L40 cannon (means: 40 calibres long barrel) using 30x90mm ammo that is used as a sniper rifle. It's called the 30mm "Vladimir" Cannon.

The gun is very loosely inspired by the Harkonen gun that Seras Victoria uses in the Hellsing anime, but only very loosely, because the game animations are totally unfit for that gun. Even having it equipped would plough with the barrel through the ground when you run. So I've gone for something more manageable. Basically it uses the same ammo, but that's where the similarity ends.

The gun is accurate, has extreme range and has very high damage per shot, but the need to reload after each shot limits it to about one shot every 3. 33 seconds, which cuts down its DPS a lot. I.e., I don't consider it particularly unbalanced, since even a 10mm SMG beats it for DPS. But if you disagree with my values, you can always open it in the GECK or FOMM and give it a different damage value.

As a further balancing factor, the gun needs 10 strength for maximum accuracy. The reason is that the necked cartridge actually packs more powder than the even non-necked 30x90mm round used on German aircraft in WW2, and that one was limited by the aircraft it was mounted on. I.e., even with the oversized muzzle brake, this gun firing a more powerful round would probably not just kill any human with the recoil, but could probably rip itself off a WW2 fighter aircraft's wing. So, yeah, while I'm not going to kill you for shooting the weapon, you'll need strength to keep it pointed at the target when you shoot.

Also, this is not a silent gun. It's very loud. Realistically, if a normal human fired this indoors, he'd flashbang himself with it and shatter both ear drums. Again, I'm not actually going to do that to you, but don't be surprised if every super-mutant within a mile hears the shot.

The ammo comes in three variants:

1. Armor-piercing shell: depleted uranium, with silver plating, as per the anime. Any existing damage threshold in the vanilla game won't come even close to stopping this.

2. High Explosive: Steel shell full of explosive goodness, does less direct damage, but explodes on impact for a bunch of extra AOE damage. Don't use these at close range or when Veronica is sprinting to punch your target, because cordite doesn't discriminate friend from foe.

3. Canister Shot: Shoots 70 silver-plated depleted-uranium balls, turning the gun into a monstrous super-shotgun. The "pellets" have high penetration against armour, but don't deform at all in flesh, so each does very low damage for their caliber. It's devastating at close range, but it has very high spread, so it's fairly useless beyond short ranges. Exercise caution when your companion is in the general directio
