This two-part collection introduces over 200 custom hairstyles designed specifically for Neverwinter Nights 2. Each hair model was carefully assembled and refined in Blender, then individually tested and optimized within the NWN2 engine. These creations represent countless hours of trial, adjustment, and polish to ensure that every style feels natural and immersive within the Forgotten Realms setting.

 Development Notes

While not every model will be absolutely perfect due to the inherent limitations of the NWN2 engine, each was crafted with the goal of balancing visual appeal, performance, and authenticity. Please approach them with understanding, as these were built with both love for the game and respect for its boundaries.

Technical Details

One of the greatest strengths of this collection lies in its shared UV texture system. All hairstyles utilize three universal texture maps, meaning every hair model is linked to the same set of textures. This design choice not only improves in-game performance but also helps reduce overall file size and HDD usage, creating a smoother experience for players and builders alike.

This Nexus release hosts the demo version of the collection, featuring a curated set of 10 sample hairstyles for testing and previewing within your modules or character creation.

Permissions & Credits

All hairstyles were originally sourced from Shining Nikki by Papergames, used here under written permission from its developers, authors, and producers for non-commercial, fan-based modification purposes.

Minor corrections were made to textures and mesh geometry to ensure compatibility with Neverwinter Nights 2 and to better align with its engine limitations. These adjustments were performed using Blender and related toolsets.
