Taxi Difficulty Configurator (UE4SS)

Description

TaxiDifficultyConfigurator is a UE4SS Lua based mod that lets you tune taxi comfort loss and Urgent mission time limits. Make comfort missions more forgiving (or for you sadists, less forgiving), and/or give yourself more (or less) time to complete the Urgent missions.

Installation instructions

1. Install the latest experimental UE4SS release beside `MotorTown-Win64-Shipping.exe`.

2. Copy the included `TaxiDifficultyConfigurator` folder to

Motor Town\MotorTown\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\TaxiDifficultyConfigurator3. Keep `enabled.txt` in the mod folder.

4. Keep UE4SS's `EnableAutoReloadingLuaMods` setting disabled. This mod safely reloads its own configuration.

5. Start or restart the game. Look for `` in `ue4ss\UE4SS.log` to confirm that it loaded.

Edit `config.ini` to customize the mod. Configuration changes are detected within about two seconds, so the game does not need to be restarted.

Main features

Allows you to tweak the following parameters:

ComfortLossMultiplier: This value affects how much you get penalized for comfort related events (e.g. bumps or lateral G's) during a comfort mission. The lower the value the less you get penalized.

UrgentComfortLossMultiplier: The same as ComfortLossMultiplier, except this one applies when the mission is also Urgent. This allows you to configure it such that the customer is less picky about bumps when they are expecting you to drive as fast as possible.

UrgentTimeLimitMultiplier: Applies a multiplier to the amount of time you are effectively given to complete an Urgent mission for each star level. Rather than changing the time given, this works by changing the tick speed on the timer. For example, if you set this to 2. 0, then a 10 minute timer would take 20 minutes to count down to zero. This only applies to the current taxi urgent mission timer and should not affect other timers. A higher value makes the mission easier.
