📋 About This Mod
Removed vertex paint and recalculated normals, which reduces lighting seams in a couple tilesets. Currently the two most egregious of the sets are included, Velothi and Dwarven.
Uploading by request, I am fully aware some prefer vertex colors but I do not plan on supporting this mod, it is provided as is. I have not tested in Morrowind.exe.
A compact cosmetic mod for 7 Days to Die that removes vertex painting and reduces lighting seams across various tilesets. With 41 endorsements and 708 downloads, it's a niche fix for players bothered by visual artifacts. Last updated in July 2021, it may require checking compatibility with current game versions.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tackles a real visual annoyance—lighting seams can break immersion, and this mod directly addresses that.
- Lightweight and focused: it does one thing (cleaning up textures) without bloating your load order.
- Community-tested with 41 endorsements and 708 downloads—small but active user base.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in July 2021—may be incompatible with newer game versions, so test before relying on it.
- Only affects tilesets, so if you're looking for broader texture overhauls, this won't cover other visual issues.
For 7 Days to Die players who notice and hate lighting seams and vertex paint artifacts on terrain and buildings. If you're a builder or explorer who values clean visuals, this is a quick fix. Skip if you want major graphical overhauls—this is a targeted cosmetic tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture mod, place the files in your 7 Days to Die Mods folder (or use a mod manager like 7D2D Mod Launcher) and ensure it loads after any other texture mods.
- If you're on a dedicated server, all players need the mod installed to see the effect consistently.
- Back up your original game files before replacing anything, just in case you want to revert.
