II. Description:

Over the years, many community members have attempted to partially address the lack of unique appearances for unique armor, weapons, creatures, and miscellaneous items within Morrowind. These efforts were never completed and could be difficult to track down between minor mod pages and lost MMH content; not to mention many were high-fidelity, and weren't a good fit for vanilla purists like myself. I've taken the effort to track down, curate, and edit what designs I could find to blend them as seamlessly as I could with the vanilla game; avoiding simple reskins to the best of my ability in favor of designs that add unique geometry or other interesting aspects like animations. What items were missing, or had clashing/dated designs, myself and others in the community went ahead and created new looks for. Additionally, some vanilla items that shared models with unrelated items were given their own appearance. Where possible, assets were recreated using MOP/Clothing Ground Mesh Fix models as a base, while Creature VFX Restoration fixes were forwarded.

What's Included: Unique designs for 600+ unique and some named/near-unique armor, weapons, books, lights, potions, ingredients, clutter, and creatures that had generic appearances. Female models are provided for all added cuirasses. A complete list of these with credits is available in the docs section and in the download.

There is also an option for 'More Unique Uniques', these are unique items in Morrowind that had their own models, but have been improved upon in minor ways through animations, particle effects, glowmaps, or edited geometry. These include:

This mod largely changes models and icons for various vanilla objects, with some placement editing where necessary, and should be compatible with most other mods that don't edit the same elements or make drastic changes to the locations they're placed in. Mods changing item stats should be compatible, with any issues that arise being fixable with a multipatch/merged objects. 'More Unique Uniques' simply replaces the models for most vanilla artifacts, save the Ebony Mail, which is edited to include a female model, if that isn't of interest to you, the .esp can be disabled. Just make sure these .esp load after other mods which may alter any of these items, and it's placed lower in your mod organizer than mods that touch them like MOP or Patch for Purists.

IV. Installation and Removal:

To install, make sure you first have the dependencies listed, then use the mod manager of your choice.

To remove, simply delete the associated files through said mod manager.

This mod is intended to be both a somewhat definitive uniques mod as well as a community resource, as it wouldn't exist without the community. If you're interested in contributing new items, improvements, sheathes, or optimizations feel free to DM me or find me on Discord. Included in the download and docs section is a complete item-by-item credits list. You are free to use and adapt any assets contained here so long as the relevant creators are credited. I've worked on this between projects for years now, so I would appreciate if my work wasn't reuploaded into another compilation, but rather others work with me on this one. You're on your honor.
