Ultimate Umbra

Description

Umbra is a deeply memorable character you encounter in Morrowind. He boasts of being an ultimate warrior that has survived endless battles and is too mighty to be killed in combat, only to often die to the player without much difficulty. So what gives?

It's been speculated that when Morrowind was first released, the developers designed everything with the assumption that most players would be 'done' around level 20. When that proved to not be the case, the DLCs, Tribunal and Bloodmoon, tried to compensate and moved that assumption to a more accurate level 50. But that didn't change the base game, leaving Umbra as an odd reminder. An end game challenge, grossly under leveled.  This mod fixes that.

Ultimate Umbra restores the titular warrior to his rightful place as an end game challenge, placing him among the ranks of some of the most difficult encounters in the game. His stats and level have been raised substantially, along with a whole new kit of features and abilities to give him the strength he always claimed to have; complete with some scripted intelligence to ensure that he will be difficult no matter how you decide to approach him. Prove you have what it takes to wield the black blade, Umbra.

Main Features

Ultimate Umbra does the following:

• []Umbra is much more physically intimidating. He is larger than other orcs and has his body completely covered in armor.[/]

  []Umbra is now level 50 with stats comparable to some of the toughest enemies in the DLC.[/]

  []Umbra now wields the massive Umbra Sword with only one hand so that he can use his shield. Though you will still need both hands.[/]

  []Umbra also has a debilitating shout that he will use throughout the fight and will even unleash his berserker rage if you prove strong enough.[/]

  []To respect how much more difficult it is to get now, the Umbra Sword is now superior to a Daedric Claymore, Cast When Strikes and won't run out of charge.[/]

  []Finally, Umbra's dialogue, journal, and AI have been tweaked to allow multiple attempts in a play through. If Umbra proves too challenging and you are forced to flee, Umbra won't hold it against you, and will be waiting patiently to accept your rematch as good as new.[/]
