The Last of the Redas Family

In vanilla Morrowind, the Redoran quest giver, Faral Retheran says the following: "The last of the Redas family line has bequeathed the family's belongings to House Redoran. I need someone to recover the family treasures from the Redas Tomb."

Now, according to all the prestigious dictionaries, ( Oxford, Macmillan, Cambridge, Merriam-Webster) the meaning of the verb "bequeath" is that you would leave something that you own to somebody only after your death. The problem is that the last member of the Redas family is pretty much alive. If she only left the family heirlooms to House Redoran in case of her death, why doesn't House Redoran - the honorable bunch - respect this wish of hers?

Luckily, I'm here to fix this issue up for you, and I even devised three different methods for doing so. In the archive that you can download, you would find three different .esp-s, and you can choose the one which you like the most. Obviously only have one .esp active at any given time.

The three .esp-s are the following:

1. Changes name: This .esp simply changes the name of that NPC from "Redas" to the similar "Radas" name. A couple of NPCs belong to the Radas family, with this version, the NPC in question simply becomes a member of that family, and she has nothing to do with the already died out Redas family, whose unknown last member bequethed the family's possessions to House Redoran.

2. She Donates: This one changes the dialogue of Faral Retheran, and instead of "bequeathed" she would use the verb "donated." So the last member is still alive, but for whatever reason she thought that she would give the items to House Redoran.

3. Kill her for the Quest: Probably the most immersive version. With this, the quest would not be available until you kill the last member of the Redas family to unlock it. With her death, you make it possible for House Redoran to inherit the items. It also rearranges the order of quests in Faral Retheran's questline, to give you ample time and do not miss the opportunity to unlock the quest: In vanilla, the Redas Tomb quest came after the Meril Hlaano's Slanders quest, with this version, after Meril Hlaano's slanders comes the Duel of Honor Quest, and the Redas Tomb quest would only come after Slay Raynasa Rethan - provided that the last member of the Redas family is dead. If she's alive, the questline ends with Slay Raynasa Rethan, at least until you kill the last member of the Redas family. You only miss the opportunity to do this quest permanently if you become the Archmaster, as it wouldn't make sense that you run errands for your subordinates as the leader of the faction. (Vanilla mechanism.)

The mod has been cleaned with TESAME, it has been tested several times, and no bugs or incompatibilities have been encountered.
