📋 About This Mod

------------------

------------------

Like many of you, I saw some poor fool drop out of the sky during my first hour playing Morrowind many, many years ago. I recently decided to go back for a playthrough and made myself a nice little house to call home for the duration. I figured Tarhiel was probably going somewhere and 'fell' a little short... ha! Anyway, I plotted a path from the community's best guess at his starting point (somewhere just NE of Caldera, perhaps?) and then took the liberty of adjusting by a few degrees to plant a mushroom (and attached player home) that old Tarhiel may have planned to land on. He never made it home, but you can!!

The idea was to put together something aesthetically different while still providing a sense of immersion for varying future play throughs. There's nothing overly fancy at work here and it shouldn't require anything other than the game and expansions. Still, no fancy scripts for placing items or any of that this time around. Morrowind lets you do that easily enough so I have just left a lot of space for those who like to horde and display what they find along the way.

-------------

-------------

Nothing over the top here but there are a few things that I think are at least a little unique to Tarhiel's Tower.

- Architecture is my attempt at blending the Imperial and Telvanni styles.

(I think it worked out okay, but it's matter of taste, I suppose)

- There's a sink with water in it! It doesn't do anything, but it's there.

- There's a portal at the top of the tower that "taps" into the Mages Guild transport system. Exits in Balmora Guild.

- There's a boat that takes you across the bay to Seyda Neen and another to take you back again!

- There's not too much else, a balcony, kitchen, bedroom, and tower. I tried to give it a unique feel and enough room to display treasures while still remaining small enough to be considered kind of cozy.

Requirements

---------------------

No mods should be required, however they are used in the screenshots. So, if you don't have a grass mod, for instance, you won't see grass like in the screenshots.

---------

Just place the . ESP where all the other . ESP's are in your Morrowind game directory.

It's the Morrowind\Data folder and don't forget to activate the mod using the launcher

before starting the game.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Decent download-to-endorsement ratio (649 downloads, 65 endorsements) shows players are actually using it.
  • Unique architectural blend of Imperial and Telvanni styles gives it character.
  • Located near Seyda Neen, a convenient starting area for new characters.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 65 endorsements—it's a niche mod, not a community favorite.
  • Last updated in May 2023—no recent updates, so compatibility with newer mods is uncertain.
  • Description is cut off, so you won't know full features until you try it.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who want a distinctive home near Seyda Neen with a mix of Imperial and Telvanni aesthetics. If you're a fan of Va1ha11a's other work like Svellheim, you'll probably enjoy this. Skip if you prefer lore-friendly or purely vanilla-style homes.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a Morrowind mod, make sure you have the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions installed, as many home mods require them.
  • Use a mod manager like Morrowind Mod Manager or Wrye Mash to keep your load order clean.
  • Check the mod's file structure—if it includes a .esp, place it in your Data Files folder and activate it in the launcher.
