📋 About This Mod
Summary
My first two ideas for the modjam were both making ruins easier to find by giving them taller features so they could be seen over landscape overhauls and tree replacers. For the Dwemer ruins it was a single tower in each doubled in height, for Daedric it was a glowing beacon of light most visible at night.
I ended up scrapping these ideas most of the way through each, but I had enough complete for both that I could finish it up and make it entirely usable even if its not my main entry to the modjam. It isn't a comprehensive change to all ruins, anything within Ghostfence and within more crowded areas of Sheogorad are not changed for compatibility.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple concept that solves a real problem—spotting ruins from afar
- Lightweight and likely performance-friendly since it only tweaks heights
- Community-tested with 60 endorsements and 2,595 downloads
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects some ruins, not all—coverage may be inconsistent
- No screenshots or detailed description, so you can't preview the changes
- Last updated July 2025—may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version or other mods that alter ruins
For Skyrim explorers who get tired of squinting at the horizon to find Dwemer or Daedric ruins. If you want a subtle quality-of-life tweak without overhauling dungeons, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for major dungeon overhauls or if you prefer ruins to stay hidden for discovery.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes ruin heights, it may conflict with other mods that edit the same ruins—check for compatibility patches or load order issues.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to install and manage this mod, making it easy to disable if you encounter problems.
- If you're using Skyrim Special Edition, make sure the mod is compatible with your game version; if not, look for a similar mod that is.
