📋 About This Mod
I'm a Michael Moorcock fan and I remember somewhat fondly the Elric series in particular. Elric carries a sword that is life and death as well as a blessing and a curse to him. That sword is Stormbringer, and I thought it'd be cool to have something similar in Morrowind. This plug-in gives you a HEAVY (50) black glass claymore that has the Powers of Health Absorption, Strength Absorption, Magicka Absorption, Fatigue Absorption, and Soultrap. This emulates as closely as I can at this point Stormbringer, as when it hits a victim it sucks the life, the very essence of being, from the individual and then transfers it to Elric, who is an albino and weak without the swords strength. If I ever learn scripting I'll make mine more like the original, even to the point when you have it unsheathed if it hasn't been fed a soul it'll strike the nearest thing alive to feed. Right now it's Cast When Strikes on these spells so you SLOWLY absorb (10 points each absorb spell for 5 seconds) the very life from your enemies, and then soultrap will take their soul away (creatures only, for some reason races can’t have their souls caught…) Damage has been reduced to 1-25 for each attack variable (since Stormbringer likes to feed on its victims for a while), and the life of the weapon is currently 5000. It can't be enchanted or sold, and the spells it casts costs I believe 1 point. This appears to be hardwired into the game, since I made sure the cost was nothing in all areas. As it stands Stormbringer's power is almost infinite, and you'll be able to walk through just about anything with it. It’s most certainly NOT for the purist, however it most certainly IS for the evil players out there and those like me who just want to go mad with a special weapon when things get tight.
Stormbringer is a compact weapon mod that adds the iconic sword from Michael Moorcock's Elric series to the game. With 23 endorsements and 359 downloads, it's a niche addition for fans of the fantasy novels. Last updated in 2008, it may be outdated for current game versions.
