📋 About This Mod
Retexture the four main types of caves in the game. "PY" "MOLD" "MUD" and "LAVACAVE"
This minimal set allows you to replace 95 percent of the textures of all the caves in the game (except Bloodmoon), as well as a certain number of stones and rocks in the exterior (since the game uses the same textures for both the stones inside the caves and the rocks outside)
Textures are adjusted in shades to their original samples. Moreover, all of them in the database have a native texture on which new layers were applied.
The plugin will be updated, since the replacement also requires veins of mineral deposits and some individual statics.
Installation: Copy the Data Files folder and replace it (if necessary).
You can use retextures in your plugins without attribution.
Don't forget to make a backup copy of the /textures folder so that you can easily roll back if you are not satisfied with the retexture.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives caves a fresh look—nice if you're tired of the same old rock textures.
- Lightweight and focused: only touches caves, so no performance hit elsewhere.
- Community-tested with 79 endorsements and 1,379 downloads—people are using it.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020—might not work with the latest 7 Days to Die builds without tweaks.
- Only covers four cave types—if you're hoping for a full terrain overhaul, this isn't it.
For 7 Days to Die players who want a quick visual refresh for caves without messing with gameplay. If you're a builder or explorer who spends time underground, this adds variety. Skip if you're looking for major graphical overhauls or if you're on the latest experimental build—compatibility is uncertain.
