📋 About This Mod
This simple plugin makes it a little easier to gain non-magic skill points through practice. I left the magic skill gain values alone because it is easy enough to just sit by a bed and cast magic over and over.
Skill Ease is a simple Oblivion plugin that increases the rate at which non-magic skills improve through practice, while leaving magic skill gain untouched. It's for players who find grinding melee, stealth, or other non-magic skills tedious. With 45 endorsements and last updated in 2008, it's an old but functional tweak.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Straightforward tweak that cuts down on grinding for non-magic skills
- Respects the magic skill grind, so mages still earn their levels
- Lightweight and old but stable (45 endorsements, last updated 2008)
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008 — may conflict with newer Oblivion mods or patches
- Only affects non-magic skills, so if you want faster magic leveling, this won't help
For Oblivion players who hate grinding melee, stealth, or other non-magic skills and want a quicker path to leveling them. Skip if you're a pure mage or want a more comprehensive skill overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place the .esp file in your Oblivion Data folder and enable it in the launcher's Data Files menu.
- Since it's an old mod, consider using a mod manager like Wrye Bash to manage load order and avoid conflicts.
- If you're using Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE), this mod doesn't require it, but check for compatibility with other gameplay overhauls.
