Guards will tell you to sheathe your weapon if you have it out. If you ignore their second warning, they'll attack. You have 11 seconds to comply, so they're tougher than Robocop.
Voices are built using ElevenAI.
Built in MWScript, so works in OpenMW.
Covers male and female Dunmer guards, Ordinators, and Imperial Legion guards.
The script has to be manually added to each guard reference, so it won't work for guard diversity mods.
Mod authors should feel free to add these scripts as they'd like to their own guard mods.

This small immersion mod makes guards in Skyrim react more realistically: they'll warn you to sheathe your weapon, and if you ignore their second warning, they'll attack. With 117 endorsements and 3,871 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated tweak for players who want stricter guard behavior.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Adds a realistic consequence for walking around with a weapon drawn—guards actually enforce the law.
- Community-approved with 117 endorsements and nearly 4k downloads, so it's been tested by many.
- Tiny mod that doesn't bloat your load order or cause conflicts.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in November 2023—may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version or other mods that alter guard AI.
- Only affects guards' weapon-drawn behavior; if you want more immersive guard interactions, this is just a small piece.
For Skyrim players who want guards to act like actual law enforcement and punish weapon-drawing in cities. Perfect for immersion-focused playthroughs where you role-play a law-abiding citizen. Skip if you prefer guards to ignore your weapon or if you're not into minor AI tweaks.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to install—it's a simple plugin, so just drop it in and activate.
- If you're on Special Edition or Anniversary Edition, make sure the mod is compatible with your game version; check the mod page for any patches.
- Test in a city like Whiterun—draw your weapon near a guard to see the warning, then ignore it to trigger the attack.
