📋 About This Mod

Vanilla Morrowind save games do not track the following:

  • []Autorun

    []Run Toggle

    []Sneak Toggle

    []Jump Velocity

    []Equipped Light

    []Equipped Probe

  • Equipped Lockpick

Meaning that if a character is doing any of these behaviors when the game is saved they will no longer be doing it upon loading that save. This mod remedies this by tracking all of these states and then forcing that behavior upon game load. Autorun will be re-toggled, items reequipped, jump velocity will be restored, etc.

Save Means Save is a small utility mod that enhances save and load functionality, preventing issues like reequipping lockpicks or torches and falling out of the air when loading a save made mid-jump. With 28 endorsements and 377 downloads, it's a niche tool for players seeking smoother save/load transitions.

✨ Key Features

Adds additional save and load functionality.
Prevents the need to reequip lockpicks or torches after loading.
Stops players from falling out of the air if they saved while jumping.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solves a real annoyance—no more reequipping torches or lockpicks after every load.
  • Fixes the mid-air save bug, which is a lifesaver for jump-heavy gameplay.
  • Lightweight and focused, does exactly what it says without bloat.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 28 endorsements—small user base, so community testing is limited.
  • Last updated in September 2024—might not be compatible with future game patches.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who frequently save mid-action and hate reequipping items or dealing with physics glitches. If you're a casual player who rarely saves in risky spots, you might not notice the difference. Skip if you want major gameplay overhauls—this is a quality-of-life tweak.
