📋 About This Mod
A variety of Sakura / Cherry Blossom tree meshes and retextures by legato, Brillo, Sniper Daria, and my Sakura retextures of LadyE's huge trees with falling leaves. Now her two trees have Sakura blossoms and falling Sakura petals. Extra special thanks to Cenobite for fixing my blossoms texture with alpha channels so it would work well on LadyE's trees. :)
Also in this mod resource are 2 variations of legato's animated falling Sakura Blossoms for your mods. Two are the originals by him with the falling petals, and two are my retextures with falling partial Sakura blossoms. There are 2 land Sakura Blossom textures by Sniper Daria, and 4 special round meshes made by qarl that let you place Sakura blossoms on the water's surface. These meshes have no collision,so there is no problem with swimming through them, and tile the blossom texture for better detail.
I have made a modder's esp with the trees, animated falling Sakura meshes, and land textures, and a second modder's esp with the water blossom meshes. Also, I have made a demo esp with all of the trees in an orchard south of Peligiad, so you can look at the models ingame. For some reason, the editor added a Tribunal dependency onto the demo mod, perhaps because I reshaped the land a little. There is no Tribunal dependency with the two modder esps. The esps were cleaned with TESTool and checked with TESAME.
Sakura Trees is a cosmetic mod for Oblivion that adds cherry blossom tree meshes and retextures, including Sakura versions of LadyE's huge trees with falling petals. It combines work by multiple authors. With 40 endorsements and last updated in 2008, it's a niche, dated mod for players wanting to beautify their game with cherry blossoms.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Brings a beautiful cherry blossom aesthetic to Oblivion's landscape
- Includes falling petals for extra visual flair
- Combines multiple authors' work for variety
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008 — may be incompatible with modern Oblivion versions or mod setups
- Only 40 endorsements, so it's a niche mod with limited community testing
For Oblivion players who want to add a touch of spring to their game with cherry blossom trees. If you're a modder looking for tree variety or a player who loves cosmetic overhauls, this is for you. Skip if you want gameplay changes — this is purely visual.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod is from 2008, check if your Oblivion version is compatible; you may need to use a mod manager to handle file conflicts.
- If you're using other tree mods, load order matters — place Sakura Trees after other tree overhauls to ensure its textures take effect.
- Consider using a mod manager like Wrye Bash or OBMM to easily install and uninstall, as manual installation might overwrite other tree textures.
