📋 About This Mod
Contains Races: Bane Elf, Haunt Classes: Soul Wanderer, Necromage, Lucky Acrobat Birthsigns: The Unseen, The Shield, The Wandering Soul Bane Elves are lucky and charismatic. They have LOTS of nifty powers, but remain very balanced and playable, and make great Stealth characters. Playing one as a Lucky Acrobat is a great idea, because the Lucky Acroabat makes them even friendlier, luckier, and sneakier. Argonians can now breath underwater at all times (if you start a new game with this mod in place). Play an Argonian Soul Wanderer if you want an athletic character skilled with the spear. The Wandering Soul birthsign grants additional cool bonuses, such as walking on air and water at will. Haunts are essentially human necromancers who got trapped between this plane and the next. As a result, they can fly but cannot enter water at all (ever). To fly, just cast the levitate spell (Ungrounding). It is free and always works, so it's my way of making them "float." They are also endowed with tremendous Magicka and powerful Destruction skills right off the bat. They are very balanced, though, mainly due to their physical weakness and the curse of being incapable of going underwater. Once a day, they may boost their strength, but this is mainly used for increasing encumbrance capacity (hence the name "Unencumber" for this spell) since they are bad with all weapons but the puny staff. The class Necromage was designed for these guys, too. They do not conjure like the stereotypical necromancer. However, all other schools (except Enchant) are there, plus the ability to be very sneaky. The Birthsign "The Unseen" is a must for a necromage/haunt."
Adds two new races (Bane Elf, Haunt), three classes (Soul Wanderer, Necromage, Lucky Acrobat), and three birthsigns (The Unseen, The Shield, The Wandering Soul) to Oblivion. Bane Elves are described as lucky and charismatic with many powers while remaining balanced. A compact content pack for players seeking new character options.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Small but dedicated following (32 endorsements) — a niche pick for character creation enthusiasts
- Bane Elf race sounds fun: lucky and charismatic with a bunch of powers, but still balanced
- Adds a solid chunk of content in one pack: 2 races, 3 classes, 3 birthsigns
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2008 — likely outdated and may have compatibility issues with modern Oblivion setups
- Only 32 endorsements and 931 downloads — a very niche mod that might not be widely tested
For Oblivion players who want to expand their character creation options with new races, classes, and birthsigns. If you enjoy experimenting with different builds and don't mind older mods, this pack could add some variety. Skip if you're looking for polished, modern content or gameplay overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod is from 2008, check if you're using Oblivion's latest patch and consider using a mod manager like Wrye Bash to handle load order.
- If you're using Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) or other mods, test this pack on a new character first to avoid conflicts.
- The Bane Elf race description mentions 'LOTS of nifty powers' — try creating a Bane Elf character to see what abilities you get.
