Prettier Dunmer Female Faces for Better Heads

Dunmer female faces from Better Heads are of good quality, lore friendly and consistent, but frankly this consistency makes them quite repetetive and boring. Most of them are not particularly attractive either. I have replaced 11 less attractive models with cherry-picked, more diverse mix from multiple other face packs. Some are ancient, some new and upscaled but all easy to look at. All textures are upscaled as of version 1. 1!

If you are using Better Heads and looking for more spicy choices for your female dunmer protagonist, or if you're tired of seeing similar faces everywhere you go this mod is for you. See the "before-after" image if you want to know which 11 faces have been replaced. 5 old (but also upscaled) not used faces have been shipped as well to enable more consistent customization (read below).

Installation

Download and install Better Heads 2. 0 if you haven't already.

Download this mod manually, copy contents of "Prettier Dunmer Female Faces for Better Heads" folder to your main Morrowind folder. It will add new texture files and replace Better Heads meshes. Confirm overwrites. Meshes backup are included in the backup folder.

Uninstallation

Copy contents of the "Prettier Dunmer Female Faces for Better Heads/backup" folder to your main Morrowind folder. Confirm overwrites. Additionally, you might want to remove textures from textures/BH having in filename "DElf" and "DE_f_H", but it's not necessary (they won't be used anymore once previous meshes are restored).

Customization

All new textures (.dds, .tga), including the ones I haven't replaced, have same filename as meshes (.nif), so if you don't agree with my choices you can skip copying selected mesh & texture pairs or replace them with your own pair. Just remember to always replace both texture

AND

mesh file, otherwise they might not match and you'll see anomalies that cannot be unseen. You have been warned.
