(OpenMW) LUA Unleashed - Discord Rich Presence - Improved Performance - Unlocked Sandbox

Improved garbage collection:

Borrows a few ideas from lua 5. 4 to speed up garbage collection ("Good" and "Better" versions)

These 2 versions should be very stable and decrease the magnitude of the frequent hitching by 20-30%.

The "Extreme" version is much more experimental, as it spreads the finalizer phase of the garbage collection across multiple frames to get rid of the lagspikes entirely.

Unlocked Sandbox:  (Careful, the unlocked versions basically give mods full access to your computer)

you can bypass the sandboxing by doing:

bypass = select('sandbox.bypass')

this gives you access to:

bypass.package

bypass.require

bypass.load

bypass.loadstring

bypass.loadfile

bypass.dofile

bypass.collectgarbage

bypass.debug

bypass.buffer

bypass.shared - exposes a shared table across EVERY context (player, menu, global, actor..) that gets not wiped on reloadlua

Installation:

Download the zip and find the flavor you want. (Pick your system, the level of garbage collection and whether you want to keep the sandboxing)

Find the corresponding file in your OpenMW folder (on windows it's directly next to the openmw.exe)

Back it up and overwrite it with the one from the zip
