📋 About This Mod
The Blight has escaped the border and the barrier of the Ghostfence. This contagion warps and twists all that its foulness touches.
Diseases in vanilla are merely spell effects the player is occasionally lumbered with. With Of Pestilence and Purification now you (yes, you!) can delve deeper into this underutilised mechanic by choosing to either spread or cure the creatures around you!
Cure sick beasts, spread pestilence, afflict your enemies with blight. Spread enough contagion and in return warp the very same afflictions into powerful gifts.
Requires: Magic Window Extender (OpenMW)
Features:
-
[]Cure diseased and blighted animals with both existing vanilla spells as well as custom ones.[/]
[]Cured animals are calmed, and repeated cures can build friendship with that animal species.[/]
[]Spread Blight and disease to NPCs![/]
[]Alternatively; Spread Common Disease or Blight to infect healthy animals.[/]
[]Three unique progression paths: Mercy (curing), Peryite (disease), and 6th House (Blight), each with configurable reward thresholds (default: 10 / 20 / 30). The more prolific you are, the greater the rewards from those who may be watching...[/]
[]Disease adaptation system: once you have the relevant path rewards, player-contractable diseases and blights can be converted into beneficial effects rather than cured.[/]
[]Spell tomes merchant inventory integration for the newly added spell suite.[/]
[]Optional Dignitas interop: OPP path titles appear in reputation displays.[/]
[]Optional Enumeratio interop: OPP counters and active adaptations appear in the character summary.[/]
[]Built-in tweakable settings for rewards, thresholds, merchant/tome distribution, messages, debug output, animal friendship, and more.[/]
New custom spells:
5 new spell effects spread out amongst 13 new spells:
[]Spread Disease: Applies common disease exposure to eligible targets, resisted by target's common disease resistance.[/]
[*]Spread Blight: Applies blight exposure to eligible targets, resisted by target's blight resistance. Spread Blight can mark otherwise unblighted targets, allowing
