📋 About This Mod
NOM MC Integration by abot
Part of the May Modathon Month 2020
Version changes:
- couple more nil checks in case NOM is not installed
- added Waterpump meshes to water source list
- fixed adding meat to guarD creatures on death
- fixed wrong mwscript.scriptRunning parameter
- removed candles from fire sources
- more tweaks
- more tweaks, some more hurting fires, some more drag/drop water
- more tweaks
- more tweaks/fixes
- some code tweaks
- fixed a possible double message with NOM activators having Sound_Water_Spout attached
- fixed the 15pts/10 sec anvil armorer boost to work without the tweaked/non-standard Morrowind Crafting 2. 1 I am using.
- Automatically adds NOM/Morrowind Crafting ingredients to suitable killed creatures
- you should be able to drag & drop food/drinks over player paperdoll. Many NOM/MC food should be recognized, and general
foods providing fatigue restoration too.
The nourishment given is not as fine-tuned for each different food type as in the original mods, but you will get some
from calling NOM/MC scripts
- you should be able to activate and drink from most water source meshes and kegs even from any not-NOMified mod (e.g. TR
fake water meshes around Akamora city, Helnim wells...)
- you should be able to activate and NOM roast from most firepit/log pile/hot coals mesh even from any not-NOMified mod
- activating any anvil mesh should give you a temporary boost to armorer skill
Requirements:
latest development MWSE-Lua
Not technically needed, but it will fully work only if you have a Necessities of Morrowind 3.x and/or Morrowind Crafting 2.x loaded
if you are using TR_Data.bsa and PT_Data.bsa (from Project Tamriel/Tamriel Rebuilt) you may want to use
NOM3_PT SO. 7z,
else you may want to use
NOM3_PT. 7z
, or the original
Morrowind Crafting 2. 1
About the NOM/SO packages:
NOM3_PT .esp are standalone replacers for NOM3.x. The package should include all needed resources (except PT_Data.bsa, PT_Data.bsa resources from Project Tamriel/TR that should be loaded as .bsa)
NOM3_PT SO.esp requires wl_SolstheimOverhaul_v1. 3.esm
NOM3_PT.esp does not
So in any case you should choose and load only one of these/they are replacers:
NOM3_PT SO.esp
NOM3_PT.esp
NOM3. 04.esp
NOM MC integration adds NOM/Morrowind Crafting ingredients to killed creatures, allows drag-and-drop food/drinks onto the player paperdoll, enables drinking from water sources and kegs, and lets you roast food at firepits. A small immersion mod with 20 endorsements, last updated in August 2023.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tight integration with NOM crafting—makes looting creatures more rewarding.
- Drag-and-drop eating is a slick QoL feature for immersive play.
- Drinking from actual water sources and kegs adds a nice survival touch.
⚠️ Cons
- Small userbase (20 endorsements) means limited community feedback.
- Last updated in 2023—may have compatibility issues with newer game versions.
- Requires NOM mod to function, so it's not standalone.
For Morrowind modders who use NOM crafting and want deeper immersion. If you enjoy survival mechanics like eating, drinking, and roasting, this is a must-try. Skip if you don't use NOM or prefer gameplay over immersion.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure NOM is installed first, as this mod depends on it.
- Test the drag-and-drop feature on a saved game to ensure it works with your UI mods.
- Check the mod's forum page for any known conflicts with other immersion mods.
