📋 About This Mod
With the advent of vurt\'s new trees. Some of the old yet useful resources have fallen into an older graphics bracket. Therefore I set out to make them closer to on par with the look Morrowind is sporting these days. Mainly I have aimed at making them fuller, but have also tweaked a few other things as well. Specifically. This mod edits the trees made by Dracus (FZ), Jdooby (JW), and N\'dib (ndib). Dracus and Jdooby\'s trees have been given additional leaves, about tripling their leaves count. Ndib\'s have a new leaves mesh entirely, utilizing one of Vurt\'s meshes. In addition, I\'ve added a few of my own edits of some of Jdooby\'s trees. Enjoy!
Mostly New Trees is a modder resource that provides new tree models and textures, using vurt's textures and meshes. It has 57 endorsements and 874 downloads, last updated in August 2010. This is for modders looking to enhance their own projects with tree assets.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid resource for modders who want to add variety to their tree assets without creating from scratch.
- Decent download count (874) shows some interest from the community.
- Leverages vurt's well-known textures, which are often praised for quality.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010 — likely outdated for current game versions, may need compatibility patches.
- Only 57 endorsements, so it's a niche resource with limited community validation.
For mod authors who need ready-made tree assets to incorporate into their own mods. If you're a player looking for a direct tree overhaul, this isn't for you — it's a resource, not a plug-and-play mod. Skip if you want immediate visual changes in-game.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this is a modder resource, you'll need to manually add the files to your own mod project — not just drop into the game folder.
- Check the file structure to see if it matches your game's data folders; you may need to repack or reorganize.
- If you're using this for Oblivion, be aware that old mods may require archive invalidation or similar steps.
