📋 About This Mod

So apparently, Bethesda for some reason forgot to assign the Ascended sleeper sounds to the Ascended Sleeper. For whatever reason, a Soundgen wasn't created for the Ascended Sleeper despite it having sounds intended for it in the Data Files. What I did was make one. Interestingly, all the Dagoths have the Ascended Sleeper's soundgen already assigned to them despite it normally being null. This made doing this small little mod that much easier. TheDrunkenMudcrab suggested I upload this.

>If you're using Ultimate Morrowind patch, then you don't need this mod.

>As for other sound mods for creatures: There are other creatures with sounds that either don't work right or are missing sounds completely and there's no easy way to restore them  Probably for the best as the Slaughterfish sounds are quite Hollywood stock sounding by comparison.

As we all know, the Hunger doesn't have any sounds at all. Perhaps those unused placeholder sounds could be used for it. Depends, what do you guys want? Post in the comments.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

This small mod for Skyrim adds a sound generator for the Ascended Sleeper creature, restoring its unused audio files. It's a niche fix for players who want complete audio immersion. With 56 endorsements and last updated in 2017, it remains a simple, functional addition for modded playthroughs.

✨ Key Features

Adds a soundgen for the Ascended Sleeper.
Restores otherwise unused sounds that go with the Ascended Sleeper.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Fills a gap in vanilla audio—now the Ascended Sleeper actually makes noise.
  • Tiny download (880 downloads) and no extra dependencies, so it's a quick add.
  • Still works for most setups since it's just a soundgen file.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2017—might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim patches or other sound mods.
  • Only affects one creature, so it's a very narrow fix.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who notice missing audio cues and want every creature to feel alive. Also for modders who appreciate restoring cut content. Skip if you don't care about the Ascended Sleeper's sound effects.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place the file in your Data folder or use a mod manager—either works since it's just a soundgen.
  • If you use other sound overhaul mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes priority.
  • Check that the Ascended Sleeper actually makes sounds in-game; if not, verify the mod is active in your load order.
