📋 About This Mod
Removes items sold by the player to merchants from the merchants' inventory after a set amount of in-game days in order to prevent cluttered barter menus. The default reset time is 3 in-game days, but is configurable from 1 day to 7 days via MCM. There is also a manual reset, simply press the bound key, default Shift + R. You can also rebind it.
Only affects player sold items that have been sold while the mod is installed. Previously sold items will not be counted, but if a trader is unimportant to any quests a decent way to reset their inventory is to kill (SetHealth 0 in the console) and then resurrect them. Merchants shouldn't equip sold armor. Do NOT sell items you want to buy back later with this mod. The items are removed from the merchant after the set amount of days have passed and you will be unable to purchase it again.
Merchant Inventories Reset removes items sold by the player to merchants after a set number of in-game days, preventing cluttered barter menus. A small utility mod with 36 endorsements, last updated June 2025, suitable for players who sell a lot and want cleaner shop inventories.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solves a real annoyance for merchants who stockpile your junk.
- Lightweight and focused—does one job without bloat.
- Active development (updated June 2025) and a small but engaged user base.
⚠️ Cons
- Only 36 endorsements—might be untested with the latest game version.
- No mention of compatibility with other mods that alter merchant inventories.
For players who sell lots of loot and hate scrolling through endless merchant menus full of their own junk. Also for modded playthroughs where merchants accumulate hundreds of items. Skip if you rarely sell or prefer to keep your sold items around for roleplay.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod's page for any config file to adjust the day count—if none, it likely uses a default.
- If you're on a modded setup, load this mod after other inventory mods to avoid conflicts.
- Test with a save where you've sold a lot to see the effect quickly.
