📋 About This Mod

Imperial Cart Travel - Redux ( v1. 1b )

-----------------------------------------------------

by AbbaddoN33

Description:

-----------------------------------------------------

"This mod adds five new travel points, one for each of these Imperial towns: Ebonheart, Caldera, Pelagiad, Seyda Neen, and Gnisis.  Dagon Fel and Solstheim are excluded due to it being on and island.

The travel is possible through guar-drawn carts, and each of the carts are set just outside of their respective settlements". ( Original description )

I've fixed some bugs, I changed the race of the coachmen to imperial; add some restrictions for experimentation ( and to make it less advantageous ), such as making it impossible to travel when the guar dies, or the weather is bad. The guar, in case of death, regenerates after 3 days. When the weather is bad, the coachman goes home, returning when the weather improves.

Optional download v1. 1b: Coachmen only give service from 6 am to 9 pm. (If you don't already have it, first download Main version 1. 1)

I also experimented a bit with ai voices, and added three spoken lines to the coachmen.

Tested in OpenMW and Morrowind vanilla

* Compatible with BCOM

Background:

-----------------------------------------------------

Looking for a mod that would allow me to travel to Pelagiad and Caldera, I found the mod "Imperial Cart Travel", by Enzo Dragon, but I found some bugs and I didn't find it immersive that the coachmen were Dunmers, the cars being imperial.

Version History:

-----------------------------------------------------

v1. 1b - Totally optional download. I added a time check, coachmen only give service from 6 am to 9 pm. After all, they need rest too, right? Improve the scripts a bit. I only did it to experiment. (If you don't already have it, first download Main version 1. 1)

v1. 1 - Correction of a bug presented in Morrowind vanilla. (Thanks to SilvanisUE for reporting it and checking BCOM compatibility)

Correction of a spelling error in a dialogue. (Thanks to korootz)

Conversion of voice audios for correct playback in vanilla Morrowind.

v1. 0 - Original release.

-----------------------------------------------------

Bethesda: For Morrowind and other great games.

Original idea and cart model: "Imperial Cart Travel", by Enzo Dragon.

AI voice: Speechify My Voice

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Adds five new travel points for Imperial towns in Morrowind: Ebonheart, Caldera, Pelagiad, Seyda Neen, and Gnisis. Excludes Dagon Fel and Solstheim due to island locations. A small gameplay mod with 42 endorsements and 778 downloads, last updated January 2024.

✨ Key Features

Adds five new travel points for Imperial towns: Ebonheart, Caldera, Pelagiad, Seyda Neen, and Gnisis.
Excludes Dagon Fel and Solstheim because they are on islands.
Travel is possible through (description cut off, but likely via boat or silt strider).

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Adds convenient fast travel to five Imperial towns, saving you from long walks across Vvardenfell.
  • Small and focused mod—doesn't clutter your game with unnecessary changes.
  • Decent community support with 42 endorsements and 778 downloads.

⚠️ Cons

  • Description is cut off, so you won't know exactly how travel works until you try it.
  • Only covers Imperial towns—if you're looking for more travel options elsewhere, this won't help.
  • Last updated in January 2024—might not be compatible with the latest Morrowind mods or patches.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Morrowind players who want quicker travel between Imperial towns without overhauling the game. If you're a completionist or roleplayer who hates backtracking, this is a handy convenience. Skip if you prefer to walk everywhere or want travel options for all towns, not just Imperial ones.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure to place the mod files in your Morrowind Data Files folder and activate the .esp in the launcher.
  • If you use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2, install it through that to keep your load order clean.
  • Check the mod's readme or forum thread if you're unsure about how the travel points are implemented—since the description is cut off.
