Fons - Shapeshifting Bard Companion

Meet Fons Rallenar... or at least, that's who he claims to be. Earn his trust once he is revealed to be a shapeshifter, and unlock different shapeshifted forms.

Note that Fons was originally conceptualized as a Baldur's Gate 2 companion. As such his mod has a lot of talking and mechanics, and not so much dungeon delving.

  []Optional romance if you play your cards right.[/]

  []Limited voice acting by real people -- David Pastore-Theriaque (Fons) and Quinn Briar (Auntie Agna Ladlemagger)![/]

  []Bardsmanship! He can be your wingman, boosting your Mercantile, Speechcraft, and Personality when he’s nearby.[/]

  []Arcane assistance! He can cast some basic spells on you -- levitate, water walking, night-eye, and waterbreathing.[/]

  []Bounty help! Fons can find the right people to bribe to clear your name, if needed.[/]

  []Dynamic Disposition! His disposition depends on what factions you’re in, what your rank is in said faction, your stats, your skills, and where you are in his quests.[/]

  []He has 500 health, so he is killable, though it is very difficult. He also has a magicka bonus so he’s useful with spellcasting.[/]

  []He uses a default/vanilla head and hair, so he'll fit right in with whatever replacers you use.[/]

  []All the scripting you'd expect from a modern companion. However, there is a bug in his teleportation script that if you tell him to teleport to you, sometimes he doesn't actually show up until you go into an interior for some reason. This only happens sometimes, and going into an interior cell makes him show up properly.[/]

  Features: Shapeshifting

  []Once you get far enough in his questline, he will be revealed to be a shapeshifter! Afterwards, if you bring him certain ingredients, he can consume ingredients and shapeshift into that creature the ingredients came from!

  []He gains all the abilities/powers of that creature, but cannot cast spells.[/]

  []Currently, he can shapeshift into a cliffracer, iron atronach, and durzog. More forms will likely follow. Once he consumes the creature, he does not have to do so again to shapeshift. Needing to do so is a 1 time thing.[/]
