📋 About This Mod

This is a modified night sky texture based on the work of Markel in Window to Aetherius. The original mod is incredibly beautiful, but I wanted to add more background stars from my own mod that I've been porting from game to game since Skyrim (called Enhanced Night Sky). I also added a version with lower brightness values, for a more subdued night sky experience. Please endorse the original mod for their incredible work!

For enhanced Masser and Secunda textures, have a look at Lorkhan's Lunar Legacy!

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Enhanced Aetherius Sky merges Markel's Window to Aetherius with the dense night sky from Enhanced Night Sky, offering a modified night sky texture with a lower brightness option. A niche cosmetic mod for Skyrim players seeking a richer, more detailed night sky, with 25 endorsements and last updated in November 2024.

✨ Key Features

Combines textures from Window to Aetherius and Enhanced Night Sky for a dense, detailed night sky.
Includes a lower brightness option for players who prefer a darker sky.
Simple texture replacement mod, no scripts or heavy dependencies.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-tested combo of two popular sky mods (25 endorsements).
  • Lower brightness option is a nice touch for immersion purists.
  • Lightweight texture mod — won't tank your FPS.

⚠️ Cons

  • Small following (25 endorsements) — might not be as polished as bigger sky overhauls.
  • No screenshots or detailed install guide in the description — you're on your own for setup.
  • Requires the original mods (Window to Aetherius and Enhanced Night Sky) to work, which aren't linked here.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who want a denser, more atmospheric night sky without overhauling their whole game. If you're already using Window to Aetherius or Enhanced Night Sky, this is a quick upgrade. Skip if you prefer vanilla skies or want a complete weather mod.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 5 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the original mods installed first — this is a patch, not standalone.
  • Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to avoid overwriting other sky textures.
  • If the sky looks too bright, grab the lower brightness file from the optional files.
