📋 About This Mod
This mod increases the chance of enchanting items, making the skill usable without excessive munchkinism and abuse of game mechanics.
If your character has Enchantment 100 + Intelligence 100 + Luck 100,
then the chance of non-constant enchantment with power 100 will be 100%. The chance of constant enchantment with power 100 will be 50%.
Constant effect enchantments can be applied via less powerful souls than in the vanilla game. (Flame Atronach or more powerful)
An important nuance: do not forget that a tired character has a reduced chance of success for any action! Do not forget to rest after hard travels before starting the painstaking work of the enchanter.
Requirements:
1. TES3: Morrowind
Installation:
1. Place the . ESP file to the Morrowind/Data Files folder
2. Activate the . ESP file in the game launcher
My other mods:
1. Playable Vampires
2. All Birthsigns Are Playable (ABAP)
3. Fatigue Consumed Only In Combat
4. Start as a Vampire
Easy Enchanting tweaks Morrowind's enchanting system by increasing success chances and allowing constant-effect enchantments with weaker souls, making the skill viable without exploiting game mechanics. A small, focused gameplay mod with 45 endorsements, last updated in April 2023.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Makes enchanting actually viable without grinding or exploiting (45 endorsements from players who get it).
- Constant effect gear becomes accessible earlier with weaker souls—huge for mid-game builds.
- Lightweight tweak that doesn't overhaul the whole magic system, just fixes the frustrating part.
⚠️ Cons
- Small mod with limited reach (45 endorsements, 845 downloads)—might not be thoroughly playtested.
- Last updated in April 2023—could be outdated if you're on a newer Morrowind patch or modlist.
- No detailed documentation on exact percentages or soul requirements—you'll have to test in-game.
For Morrowind players who want to use enchanting without resorting to fortify intelligence loops or other exploits. Also great for roleplayers who want constant-effect gear early without grinding. Skip if you prefer the vanilla challenge or use overhaul mods that already rebalance enchanting.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes enchanting mechanics, test it on a fresh save or back up your current one to avoid surprises.
- If you use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2, install it there to keep your Data Files clean.
- Pair with a soul gem rebalance mod if you want more consistent access to the weaker souls it now supports.
