Dwemer Miter Headgear in Morrowind

"I have only seen replicas of these things in an Antiquarian exhibit back in Gwilym. And even those things had admittedly not been crafted by actual Dwemer but by some overeager scholars during the Second Era Interregnum. A strange time with even stranger trends.

"This Dwemer "Miter" as some called it, mind the quote marks, was something that had been made based on some speculation about the Dwemer's Calling ability. Some sort of telepathy unique to their race, and something we can only still speculate about, I'm afraid. The term "Miter" meanwhile, well, for lack of a better term it's what this thing had become stuck with. The Dwemer did have a "High Priest" of sorts, unless that title of Kagrenac was another mistranslation, but I doubt this was used for any religious ceremony as we understand it.

"And now holding what I hope is an actual Dwemer Calling headgear, never mind that it came from some scoundrel's crate of random loot, there might be some truth to those speculations. And maybe, just maybe, a chance to answer the question: had the Dwemer's Calling been artifactedly-granted by wearing this thing or artifactedly-enhanced by its use?"

This mod was the result of randomly looking through ESO collectibles, seeing some specific items, and thinking... I can make that with just TES3 Morrowind's basegame assets. After hours of experimentation, this was the result.

I was planning to use this in a larger Quest mod, but that is going to take much longer. So I'm making this Armor piece available to use for now. You can find it in Arkngthand. Just look around in one of those loot boxes. Pun intended.

INSTALLATION

Choose which version you want to use: the basegame-assets version or the retextured version.

Simply copy-paste the Data Files into the Morrowind directory, or use a mod manager to install the mod.

Use only one .esp file - "Heavy" or "Medium" versions if you prefer its respective Armor weight.

• uploaded a retextured version with an improved mesh done by Vegetto88

• also uploaded Vegetto88's version as a free-to-use modder's resource with their permission (credit this madlad all the same)

• edited a part of the mesh where a patch of skin keeps popping up
