📋 About This Mod
================================================================================================================================
One may ask: But TheDrunkenMudcrab, why nerf them? They're easter eggs and they don't hurt anyone!
Creeper has 5000 Gold in Barter Gold, and the Mudcrab Merchant has 10,000 Gold in Barter Gold. These are the two highest totals in the game. They make a daily income of 5000-10000 Gold each. This means that you can essentially sell your incredibly expensive items, wait a day, and rinse and repeat forever, eventually getting 10,000 Gold for every valuable item you own. You would become a millionaire within minutes doing this. In addition, creature merchants do not take your Barter skill into account when they calculate their prices. That means that they always buy and sell at base price, treating you as if you had maximum Barter always.
Play Morrowind now knowing that you took a step in the right direction in fixing Morrowind's glaring balance problems.

Version 1. 1: GMSTs are now gone.
================================================================================================================================
This mod nerfs Creeper and the Mudcrab Merchant, the two most powerful merchants in Morrowind, by setting their Barter Gold to 0 and limiting them to potion trading only. It's for players who want to remove the easy money exploit and keep these characters as pure easter eggs.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Fixes the economy-breaking exploit where you could sell expensive items for full price
- Small and focused mod that does exactly what it says
- Lightweight and compatible with most setups (55 endorsements)
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2017 — may not be compatible with latest Morrowind patches or mods
- Only affects two merchants; other money exploits remain untouched
For Morrowind veterans who want a more balanced economy and don't mind losing the easy cash from Creeper and the Mudcrab. Skip if you enjoy using these merchants as your primary money sink or if you're playing with mods that already rebalance merchants.
