CBT - Crime Bounty Tweaks

Stealing bounty is now twice the value of stolen item, from vanilla equaling the value of stolen item.

Tresspass bounty is now 150 drakes, from vanilla 5.

Pickpocket bounty is now 250 drakes, from vanilla 25.

Assault bounty is now 800 drakes, from vanilla 40.

Murder bounty is now 20000 drakes, from vanilla 1000. Murder is a serious crime, and it should be very hard, practically impossible to pay it off. Most players are guaranteed to go to prison for it.

You will now spend 1 day in prison for every 50 drakes in your bounty. Meaning, tresspassers go to prison for 3 days, pickpockets for 5, and murderers are sent to prison for over a year. Since every day spent in prison equals a skill point loss, going into prison for murder is an actual punishment, especially for a low-level character.

Death penalty requires 45000 drakes bounty, from vanilla 10000. If you've went on a killing spree you will be considered a maniac and killed on sight, but you're unlikely to get it for the lesser crimes, unless for stealing something priceless.

Additionally, guards will start headhunting you if your bounty is above 450 drakes, meaning you get a chance to turn yourself in for small crimes.

Thieves guild will now provide only 30% discount to clearing your bounty, from 50% in vanilla.

Turning yourself in to unprovoked guards will now provide 15% discount on your bounty, from 10% in vanilla.

Certain dialogues a dependent on character bounty being high enough, but with the raised values they trigger too easily, so I raised the values in dialogue requirements. Dialogue topics added by Patch for Purists are also affected.

COMPATIBILITY

tldr: should be okay-ish even if overwritten

Patch for Morag Tong Polished is included in the main archive, place it after both mods. Use TRFactions one if you use both TRFactions and Morag Tong Polished. This patch is based on Morag Tong Polished patches by alvazir from alvazir's various patches.

If certain dialogue topics are overwritten you might get crime dialogue at unintended times - for example, being called a murderer despite having only 1000 drake bounty.

Due to the raised expected amount of crime bounty, certain variables in game settings and scripts had to be changed from short type(which overflows at 32767) to long(which can safely get as high as 2,147,483,647). Morag Tong writ scripts were affected. If some mod which changes them is loaded after mine, it might revert the writ system back to vanilla, meaning your bounty for killing will not get completely removed, just reduced by vanilla value(1080), in which case you have to use console commands to clear the bounty yourself.
