📋 About This Mod
Playing around in the CS, I came to the conclusion that there simply weren't enough differently colored candles in the common set. I looked to see if there were any available resources related to this and found none. I started out by taking the pewter candles and swapping the wax textures so that there was one of each wax color available (these are all utilizing vanilla textures, by the way, so they'll be retextured if you have any texture replacers). Not being one to half do this sort of thing, I then went and did this for every candle in the common set.
This resource contains 107 meshes, all of them vanilla ones with swapped wax textures. The items also come with shiny new icons. Feel free to use them however, but don't merge the showcase into anything. It's full of edits to the default lights so that they'd display nicely. To get to the showcase room, there's a door in Seyda Neen right by Fargoth's stomping ground.
Credit would be appreciated so that others can find and use this, but isn't required.
In the future I may or may not do this for the rest of the candles. If someone wants me to feel free to ask.
A compact resource pack from 2013 adding six colored candle variants with new icons, intended for modders. With 30 endorsements and 365 downloads, it's a niche utility for Skyrim mod creators seeking simple candle assets.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and focused: exactly what it says, six colored candles with icons
- Decent download count (365) for a niche resource mod
- Lightweight and easy to integrate into your own mods
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2013 — likely outdated for current Skyrim versions
- Only 30 endorsements, so community feedback is limited
For Skyrim modders who need quick candle assets in multiple colors for their own creations. If you're a player looking for gameplay changes, skip this — it's a resource, not a gameplay mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're new to modding, this is a resource for mod authors, not a direct gameplay mod — you'll need to use it as an asset in your own mod.
- Check the file structure after download to see how to integrate the candles into your mod's assets.
- Since it's from 2013, test it in your current Skyrim setup to ensure compatibility before building on it.
