Description
Adds a spell to summon a bound arrow that automagically replaces itself for as long as the spell remains in effect. The effect costs the same as any other bound armor/weapon effect.
Getting the spells
Any character that sells the bound longbow spell should also now sell the bound arrows and bound bolts spells.
The spell is sold by two people in the Balmora mages guild.
The bound Crossbow spell can be found in spell tomes which have a chance to be sold by booksellers and found randomly in loot.
Compatability
This mod uses the Magicka Expanded framework to make the spells and effects.
This mod uses assets from OAAB data.
This mod requires the most recent nightly build of MWSE. Please be sure to run the mwse-update.exe before playing this mod.

Bound Ammo adds three new spells to Skyrim: bound arrow, bound bolts, and bound crossbow, allowing players to conjure ammunition and a crossbow. With 40 endorsements and 585 downloads, it's a small utility mod for magic-focused characters. Last updated in June 2022, it may require compatibility checks with current game versions.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Fills a niche gap for conjuration players who want ranged options without carrying physical ammo
- Simple concept—three spells, no bloat, does exactly what it says
- Decent download-to-endorsement ratio (585 downloads, 40 endorsements) suggests users found it useful
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2022—may be incompatible with the latest Skyrim version or require patches
- Small mod with limited features—only three spells, no additional perks or balance tweaks
For Skyrim players who enjoy conjuration builds and want to summon their own ammunition and crossbow, avoiding the hassle of carrying arrows or bolts. Skip if you're looking for a major overhaul or if you prefer physical ranged combat.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, install via the manager to keep track of files and load order.
- Check if the mod requires the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch (USSEP) for compatibility—many magic mods do.
- Test the spells in a new save or after loading a clean save to avoid conflicts with existing mods.
