📋 About This Mod
The statues of the Tribunal saints St. Delyn and St. Olms are ugly. Not only that, in a game like Morrowind where there's a mod for almost every little detail, these two gentlemen are mostly overlooked.
This mod improves their looks with updated heads matching MacKom's better heads.
Also some really ugly UV's have been fixed in the statue robes (not shown in the screenshots).
The textures added in this mod are intended to match Aeven's Set in Stone texture replacer for these statues. It'll work just fine without it though.
Qwertyquit has also made a completely new set of HD textures, with a somewhat more vibrant look. These are included in the extras folder.
Better Head Statues replaces the statues of St. Delyn and St. Olms with improved versions. A simple cosmetic mod for Morrowind players who want a visual upgrade to these iconic landmarks. With 168 endorsements and 3,504 downloads, it's a modestly popular choice for enhancing Vivec's temple district.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-tested with 168 endorsements and 3,504 downloads—solid for a niche cosmetic mod.
- Directly improves two of Vivec's most prominent statues without touching other assets.
- Lightweight and focused—no bloat, just better statues.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in March 2020—may have compatibility issues with newer Morrowind mod setups or engine patches.
- Only affects two statues, so if you're looking for a broader visual overhaul, this won't cut it.
For Morrowind players who spend time in Vivec and want the St. Delyn and St. Olms statues to look less dated. If you're a purist who likes vanilla aesthetics, skip it—this is purely cosmetic and only touches two models.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2, just drop the mod in and activate it—no load order tweaks needed for simple mesh replacers.
- Make sure you have the Morrowind Code Patch or OpenMW for better stability, but this mod should work with either.
- Since it only replaces meshes, you can safely uninstall it anytime without breaking your save.
