📋 About This Mod
This mod increases the barter gold of the major merchants in Balmora, and gives them extra items to sell.
Their extra items are in a chest hidden under the ground below them, in an unreachable position for the player (so you can't just steal it). The chests are new entries so it doesn't modify anything from the base game.
Each merchant is only modified to increase their barter gold to 50,000 and nothing else.
Some might consider this slighty cheaty but it really only skips all the tedious barter juggling you have to do to sell higher price items. You still have to go find items to sell and increase disposition for better prices like normal, it's not free gold or full price sales like Creeper.
There are graphical mods in use in the screenshots, your game may appear different. (HD Textures, MGE XE, Shaders, etc.)
If any mods make changes to these NPCs, it will conflict.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective: more gold and more stock means less waiting around for merchants to restock.
- Balmora is the main hub, so this improves early-game convenience for most playthroughs.
- Lightweight mod with no dependencies—just drop it in and go.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects Balmora merchants, so other towns remain unchanged.
- No details on which merchants or what items are added—could be hit or miss.
- Last updated in 2022, so may not be compatible with the latest Morrowind modding setups.
For Morrowind players who spend a lot of time in Balmora and want to sell loot faster without hopping between merchants. Also good for traders who want a bit more variety in shop inventories. Skip if you prefer a purist vanilla experience or want changes across all of Vvardenfell.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place the mod files in your Morrowind Data Files folder and activate the .esp in the launcher.
- If you use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2, install it through that to keep your load order clean.
- Check the mod's readme or forum thread for any compatibility notes with other merchant overhauls.
