Balmora Enhanced is a compact Morrowind mod that adds two new entrances to the city, modifies the walls, and introduces a small prison. With 22 endorsements and last updated in 2012, it's a niche, older cosmetic and layout tweak for players who want a slightly altered Balmora.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny mod that does exactly what it says—no bloat, just a few tweaks
- Adds practical new entrances that can save you time running around the city
- A prison is a nice lore-friendly touch for a town that's supposed to have law enforcement
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2012—might have issues with newer Morrowind setups or mods
- Only 22 endorsements, so it's not a widely tested or community-vetted mod
- No screenshots or detailed instructions in the description, so you're going in blind
For Morrowind players who want a slightly more convenient Balmora without overhauling the whole city. If you're a purist who likes the original layout, skip it—this changes the walls and adds a prison, so it's not for vanilla purists.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a Morrowind mod, make sure you have the Morrowind Code Patch or OpenMW for better stability with older mods.
- Check the mod's file structure—if it's a .esp, just drop it into your Data Files folder and activate it in the launcher.
- If you use other Balmora overhaul mods, this might conflict, so load it after them or test for issues.
