📋 About This Mod
This mod replaces the textures of the Ashlander tribe banners, offering a high-quality, lore-friendly upgrade that brings forth the unique artistry and ancestral motifs of each tribe. The new textures showcase the intricate symbolism and muted hues that represent the profound connection between the Ashlander tribes and their ancient roots, enhancing the immersive atmosphere of the Ashlander camps. The Ashlander Ancestral Banners mod has been thoughtfully designed to ensure that each tribe's banner design is authentic to the world of Morrowind, incorporating traditional elements and ancestral patterns. Discover the depth and richness of the Ashlander tribe banners as you explore their camps, deepening your connection to the enigmatic world of Morrowind.
The mod itself is a preview for a much bigger one, AoVv - Banners, that retextures almost all the banners in the game.
So, wait for it :)
Bigger mod was released. It covers only vanilla game textures. TR Ashlanders and Source file can be downloaded from this page.

Technical details:
This mod changes 4 textures of the banners (tribe sigils), you can find in the Ashlander Tribe camps, to the new and detailed ones.
Also, it changes 3 textures of the Ashlander banners from the Tamriel Rebuilt project - of the tribes Ishanuran (sw_banner), Kishummu (s_banner) and Obainat (g_banner). The third tribe, Kishummu, is not in the mod currently.
There are 7 archives for the mod:
Main files:
1. High Quality - 1024x4096 px textures of 4 banners of Ashlander tribes of Vvardenfell
2. Medium Quality - 512x2048 px textures of 4 banners of Ashlander tribes of Vvardenfell
Optional Files:
3. Uncompressed High Quality - 1024x4096 px textures, uncompressed, of 4 banners of Ashlander tribes of Vvardenfell
4. TR Uncompressed High Quality - 1024x4096 px textures, uncompressed, of 3 banners of Ashlander tribes of Mainland Morrowind
5. TR MQ - 512x2048 px textures, of 3 banners of Ashlander tribes of Mainland Morrowind
6. Old textures, that I made a long time ago, in 2015 and didn't release for unknown reasons. They are a modresource now. Maybe, some of you, folks, will like this style more than new one.
Misc Files:
6. The black-n-white images of the tribe sigils, all 7, and SVG version of these files.
7. PSD-source file for all 7 banners.
Unfortunately, psd-source file, because I'm madskillz mastermind, weighs almost 1 GB, it is overbloated.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community support with 85 endorsements and nearly 3,000 downloads
- Fills a specific niche for Morrowind players who want more detailed tribal banners
- Lightweight and easy to install, just drop-in texture files
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in May 2023, so may not be compatible with the latest Morrowind mod setups
- Only affects banners, so impact is limited if you don't visit Ashlander camps often
- No screenshots or detailed install instructions provided by the author
For Morrowind players who appreciate visual polish and want to enhance the Ashlander tribal areas. If you're a lore enthusiast or a screenshot taker, this adds nice detail. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or if you rarely interact with Ashlanders.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture replacer, just drop the files into your Morrowind Data Files folder, overwriting if prompted.
- Use a mod manager like Wrye Mash or Mod Organizer 2 to keep track of your mods and avoid conflicts.
- Check if you have other texture mods that might affect the same banners; load order matters if you do.
